Alaina is a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and become the best version of themselves. She brings a compassionate, practical, and evidence-based approach to her work, supporting clients to build resilience, develop insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Alaina is a registered Psychologist and has been working in the mental health field for over 30 years. She commenced her career in private practice in Tasmania more than 25 years ago and has since developed a broad and well-rounded skill set across a variety of clinical settings.

​

In addition to her private practice work, Alaina has worked part time in an acute mental health private hospital in Brisbane for the past 22 years. During this time, she has facilitated psychoeducational and therapeutic groups for both inpatients and outpatients, supporting individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges.

Alaina has extensive experience working with presentations including trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. She is committed to delivering evidence-based care and utilises a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed therapies, and solution-focused approaches.  She is well experienced with working with NDIS clients, as well as TPD and Workcover claims.

Alaina is known for her warm, down-to-earth style and her ability to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. She works collaboratively with her clients, empowering them with practical tools and strategies to manage difficulties and move forward with confidence.

In her spare time, Alaina enjoys heading to the beach and spending quality time with her family.
