Terms and Conditions of Service
1. Appointments
Appointments can be made via phone, email, or other agreed booking methods. Appointment times are reserved specifically for you and are generally 55 minutes in length
2. Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Failure to attend an appointment without notice (“non-attendance”) may incur the full session fee.

Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in review or discontinuation of services.
This policy ensures fairness to both clients and others waiting for appointments.
3. Fees and Payment

Fees are payable at the time of consultation unless otherwise arranged.

Payment methods may include EFTPOS, bank transfer, or other agreed methods.

Any outstanding accounts may be referred to a collection agency if not resolved.
4. Medicare, NDIS, and Third-Party Funding

Where applicable, Medicare rebates (e.g., under a Mental Health Care Plan) may be claimed.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure eligibility and valid referrals.

For NDIS or third-party arrangements, service agreements will outline specific terms.

Any gap payments remain the client’s responsibility unless otherwise specified.
5. Confidentiality
All personal information shared in sessions is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required or authorised by law (see Privacy Statement for details).
6. Emergencies
This practice does not provide a crisis or emergency service.

7. Reports and Letters

Reports, letters, and documentation (e.g., for courts, NDIS, or employers) may incur additional fees.

Timeframes will be discussed and agreed upon prior to commencement.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to:

Attend sessions punctually

Engage respectfully in the therapeutic process

Provide accurate and relevant information

Inform the psychologist of any risks or safety concerns
9. Termination of Services
Services may be discontinued if:

There is ongoing non-attendance or non-payment
-
The therapeutic relationship is no longer effective
-
The client requires services beyond the scope of the practice
